There are weeks when life feels heavy, but work still requires you to show up with a smile, full of energy and inspiration.
And yet, behind the scenes, you’re exhausted. Or dealing with something that no one else can see.
I’ve been feeling that recently. It’s personal stuff that I don’t want to share, but I know I don’t need to. Because most of you know exactly what I mean.
As assistants, you will have carried this weight at some point. You show up for your executives and your teams when you don’t feel like you have anything left to give. You hold the line. You keep things moving. You inspire others even on the days when it feels overwhelming.
And I want to remind you that it’s okay not to be okay all the time. Even leaders have bad days. Even the strongest need to rest.
That isn’t weak, it’s quite the opposite and it makes you human.
With Mental Health Week ahead, let’s make space for honesty, compassion, and support for ourselves and for each other.
You don’t always need to put on a brave face. Sometimes, being real is the most inspiring thing of all.
