“Still Working 9 to 5” takes a compelling look at the challenges women continue to face in the workforce, juxtaposing these struggles against the 1980 comedy 9 to 5, in which three secretaries fought for basic workplace equality. The documentary features interviews with the original film’s cast members, including Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton, and Dabney Coleman, alongside voices from the 9 to 5 TV series and the Broadway musical adaptation. The film reflects on the persistent inequalities and how far we still have to go.
