Assistants are already operating in hybrid roles across operations, projects, HR, and systems. That reality is not the problem. The problem is when complexity is celebrated without regard for scope, risk, training, or pay. Hybrid does not mean limitless, and capability does not justify under-resourcing.

When we talk about rebranding the administrative profession in 2026, this is not about new job titles or polished LinkedIn profiles. It is about behaviour. Perception is shaped every day by how we show up, what we tolerate, and how we describe our work. Reputation is built in practice, not in theory.

As the year comes to a close here in Spain, I want to pause and say thank you. This has been a complex, demanding, deeply meaningful year, shaped by generosity, challenge, trust, and shared commitment to a profession that matters. No recap. No metrics. Just gratitude.
