When was the last time that you felt highly motivated in your current role?
There are three distinct periods in your working life.
The first is a tiny segment right at the very beginning. It represents you from ages 0-16/18/21, dependent on when you finished your education.
During this period, your parents constantly remind you that you can have a fantastic career if you work hard.
At the other end there’s another tiny segment of your life: retirement. Some of you spend your entire working
life working towards retirement, and some of you won’t even get there.
And in the middle is this huge piece, which is your work life.
So, what is the point?
What is the point if this segment does not make your heart sing?
If your reaction to my question about when you last felt highly motivated was, ‘Not at the moment, that’s for sure’, remember life is short!
Go create a path that will either make you fall in love with your job all over again, with your heart singing and excited to give your chosen career everything you have got. Or go find something new to do.
You don’t have to stay. You don’t have to be stuck.
Go do the thing!
