Nothing is scarier than avoiding your full potential.
Not failure.
Not rejection.
Not risk.
What’s truly terrifying, if we’re honest, is what we could be, if we stopped holding back.
And in the administrative profession, this hits hard.
Too many brilliant, capable, strategic minds have been trained to stay in the background.
To wait to be invited.
To shrink, soften, or silence their instincts, because they were told that’s what “support” looks like.
But I want to say this as clearly as I can.
You weren’t hired to disappear.
You were hired to deliver impact.
But you cannot do that while avoiding the truth that you are capable of far more than you’ve been allowed – or allowed yourself – to show.
Potential isn’t about promise.
It’s about permission.
And often, the person you’re waiting for permission from… is you.
So here’s your sign.
Say the thing. Ask for the training. Take the lead. Show up louder. Stop waiting.
Because few things will haunt us like the version of ourselves we never allowed to succeed.
You’re not here to take up space.
You’re here to change the space you’re in.
