What are your current boundaries and authority in your role?
What are you allowed to do? What are you not allowed to do?
And if you’re honest with yourself, if there are things that you would love to be able to do, is the reason you aren’t doing them yet because you have never asked?
Either because you’re worried that others might think that you are getting above yourself, or because you don’t want the rejection or to feel cross if they say no, or because you don’t think they would even consider it?
Whatever it is, it’s a risk worth taking if it creates opportunity.
In my experience, the willingness to step outside your comfort zone and voice your aspirations can lead to unexpected encouragement and new possibilities. So, I challenge you today to identify one thing you’ve been hesitant to ask for and take that bold step forward.
Remember, growth happens outside of your comfort zone. Don’t let fear dictate your potential. Take the risk—it’s worth it if it creates opportunity.
